Timberline Marketing: how they get clients

Facebook and Instagram ads run from the tree company's own page: lead ads first, then brand-building ads to the people who engaged. One company per city. $997 a month, six month agreement, ad spend on top.

CampaignAdsWhat it is
Client stories to the "check my city" page3Three ads, each one client telling it on his own phone: first name, city, one number. Copy is written by Timberline in the third person, the video is the client. All three send to the check my city page. One of them prints the $997 fee.
Founder pain ad to the "check my city" page2Thomas on camera for about 75 seconds: the worry of an empty calendar, why buying shared leads is renting customers, three client numbers, one company per city. Two ad cards, one of them a three-version test of the first line.

Our read of each ad's words. Next to this: the PaintLaunch playbook and our own playbook.

The whole thing in five minutes

Captured 2026-10-13. Read only: nothing was submitted, booked or sent. Every number about a client is their claim.

Who they are

Thomas Wilson, Eagle, Idaho. Legal name Review Cannon LLC, trading as Timberline Marketing. Tree services only, one company per city. They run Facebook and Instagram ads from the tree company's own page: lead ads first, then "ads that don't look like ads" (the owner's story, pizzas for the fire department) shown to the people who engaged. $997 a month, six months, ad spend on top (about $40 a day). For companies doing $20,000 a month or more. They sell to the same owners HSD does.

The ads (6, all video, all under a week old)

The Ad Library shows 6 active ads on one page (the first pass saw 5; the sixth is a three-version test). Started Oct 8, 10 and 12, 2026. No older ads are visible.

  • Three client stories that link to the funnel: Curtis in Spokane ($40K to $80K a month, and the ad prints the $997 fee), Justin in Ogden (10 to 15 estimates a week to about 45), Jonathan in Liberty, Missouri ($70,000 in three weeks). The words are written about the client; the video is the client on his phone.
  • One founder ad in two cards: "The most stressful part of running a tree service isn't doing the work. It's not knowing whether next month's calendar will be full." Then shared leads, three client numbers, one company per market. One card tests three different first lines.
  • One client story with no link at all (Stephen in Florence, South Carolina, $200,000 on the books in 30 days).

No teaching ads, no objection ads, no pictures.

The path

  1. Ad, button "Learn more", to go.timberlinemktg.com/checkmycity.
  2. That address sends people to one of two versions of the same page. One headline is "Stay Booked Weeks in Advance Without Shared Leads or Price Wars". The other is "Every Dollar You've Spent On Leads Built Someone Else's Business." Under it: a 12 minute video of Thomas, one red button "Check City Availability", and six client cards with big numbers.
  3. The button opens a one screen form: name, business, phone, email, metro area, current monthly revenue.
  4. Under $20k a month goes to "We Don't Think We're The Right Fit Just Yet." with a 10 minute teaching video. Everyone else goes to "Your Application Has Been Received!".
  5. That page says: watch the video (the same one), answer Thomas' call, text us "WATCHED". Then a fact sheet with the price, nine client cards, eight clients with phone numbers you can call, what happens in the first six months, and eight questions.
  6. Thomas phones. There is no calendar anywhere.

The website (timberlinemktg.com) is a second door to the same form: homepage with the price, a "Strategy" page with a 3 minute video and the form, and an "Apology" page about one per city.

The offer, in their words

  • "Social Media Ads run directly from your Facebook page"
  • "Market Exclusivity, one company per city, period"
  • "Monthly strategy and content management" (they script and edit, the owner films about an hour a month)
  • "Access to our private client community"
  • "Monthly group Zoom calls and yearly in person mastermind"
  • "$997/month, 6-Month Commitment, No Setup Fee" on the homepage. The sales video adds "a one time $1,000 implementation fee".
  • Why six months: "Because we're not renting you leads. We're building your reputation in the market."
  • Guarantee: none on the sales pages ("no unbelievable guarantees", "We don't promise an arbitrary number of leads"). The terms page alone has a "30-Day Lead Guarantee": no new leads in 30 days and the first month's fee comes back.

What they say against companies like HSD

  • "Every Dollar You've Spent On Leads Built Someone Else's Business."
  • "buying leads is just renting customers"
  • "shared leads put you in competition with every other tree company that bought the same homeowner's information"
  • On Google: "they're just gonna find four other companies right beside you"
  • "Every other company out there is laser focused on leads."
  • "Most agencies will tell you whatever it takes to get you signed up."
  • "We do not spend your first several months trying to learn your industry while you pay the tuition."

An owner who has seen these will assume our leads are shared, that we count leads instead of jobs, and that we would also sign his competitor. The full list with sources is in the funnel file under against_us.

Clients they name (10)

Justin Baker (Cutz Trees, Ogden UT), Curtis Point (Spokane WA), Stephen Cooke (Cooke's Cuts, Florence SC), Jonathan Gray (Infinity Landscaping, Liberty MO), Nathan Newkirk (Outdoor Solutions, Boise ID), Joe Proctor (Wood To Go, Brunswick GA), Thomas Williams (KK Tree Service, Oxford MS), Dustin Schweyer (The Guys Tree Service, Fort Wayne IN), Jake and Mary Eilander (Jake's Tree Service, Idaho Falls ID), Josh Korczak (Apex Tree Removal, Auburn WA). Numbers for each are in the funnel file under clients_named.

Other ways they get clients

  • Cold calls. Justin says on camera Thomas phoned him cold; the homepage says "When we called he almost didn't answer."
  • A YouTube channel with 3 long videos and about 55 shorts, nearly all against lead platforms, small view counts. The same shorts go on the Facebook page (109 followers).
  • No emails found in our research inbox.

What they do that PaintLaunch does not

"Check if your city is available" instead of "apply"; the price in public; the Apology page; a phone call from the founder instead of a calendar; client phone numbers on the thank-you page; a fact sheet after the form; a teaching video for owners who are too small.

Where it is weak

  • Six ads, a week old, two kinds.
  • One way in, no waitlist form, no email follow-up seen.
  • "No Setup Fee" on the site, a $1,000 fee in the video.
  • Terms page says month-to-month with a refund guarantee; sales pages say six months and no guarantees.
  • The video promises a call you can schedule; there is nothing to schedule on.
  • Client numbers change between the ad, the card and the client's own words.
  • Template leftovers on the website: made-up testimonials in the homepage source and blank pages in the sitemap.
  • Tiny audience so far.

Five things worth taking

  1. "See if your city is still open" as the ask, with revenue as the last question and a kind page for the small ones.
  2. The fact sheet and the client phone list on the page after the form.
  3. Client phone videos as ads: first name, town, one number.
  4. Say out loud that our leads are exclusive and show jobs and revenue, because their ads teach owners to expect the opposite from us.
  5. Use what they do not have: Google Local Services and Google Ads for the homeowner searching today, and one price story that is the same everywhere.
For Home Service Direct

What we can take, and what to leave

Ideas for us 13

  • Turn the ask into a check on us: "See if your city is still open" with a one screen form that ends on monthly revenue, and send small companies to a helpful page instead of a calendar.
  • Put a six box fact sheet on the page after the form: fee, term, how much of the owner's time, ad budget, exclusivity, who it fits.
  • List client owners who agreed to take a call, with town and number, under "Don't take our word for it".
  • Run client phone videos as ads with a third person write-up above them: first name, town, one number, what it was like before.
  • Put the price in one ad and see what it does to lead quality; their Curtis ad states the fee in the text.
  • Answer their story head on: owners who saw these ads now believe every lead is shared and every agency chases lead counts, so say plainly that our leads are exclusive, from the client's own ads, and show booked jobs and revenue, not lead counts.
  • Use their gaps: they offer Facebook only, so lead with Google Local Services and Google Ads for the homeowner who is searching today, and point out that being known and being found are both needed.
  • Use winter as proof: collect two or three client results from the slow months and make them the headline of an ad.
  • Test the first line only: one script, three openers, inside one ad, the way their pain ad is built.
  • Write an honest "one per area" page of our own if we can keep the promise, and give it a real waitlist form, which theirs lacks.
  • Give the too-small owner a real teaching video and a reason to come back, then follow up by email, which they do not do.
  • Keep one price story everywhere (ad, page, video, terms). Theirs disagrees with itself and a careful owner will notice.
  • Publish short videos against shared-lead platforms as ads, not only as organic shorts; they made about 55 and run none.

What they do that PaintLaunch does not

  • The ask is "check if your city is available", not "apply" or "book a call". The form is framed as a check on them, not on you.
  • Prints the price and the term in an ad, on the homepage, in the sales video and on the thank-you page.
  • An "Apology" page in the main menu that turns one per city into a story.
  • After the form there is no calendar. The founder phones you, and you are told to text the word "WATCHED" after the video.
  • The thank-you page lists eight clients with phone numbers and says "Call the tree service owners we work with and ask them yourself."
  • A fact sheet on the thank-you page: fee, term, your time, ad budget, exclusivity, who fits, six boxes.
  • Sells brand and being known rather than leads, and uses winter results as the proof.
  • Client community, monthly group Zoom and a yearly in-person mastermind are part of the package.
  • The owner who is too small still gets a full teaching video instead of a dead end.
  • Tests two landing page headlines with the funnel builder's own split test, and three first lines inside one ad.

Where it is weak or broken

  • Only 6 ads, all under a week old, and only two kinds (client story, pain). No teaching or objection ads although they have about 55 short teaching videos sitting on YouTube.
  • One way in. Nothing to download, no calculator, no waitlist form even though the Apology page tells people to "Get on the waitlist".
  • The price story does not agree with itself: "No Setup Fee" on the homepage, "a one time $1,000 implementation fee" in the sales video.
  • The terms page says month-to-month, "No Long-Term Contracts", and a 30 day refund guarantee, while every sales page says six months and "no unbelievable guarantees". The terms also still list Google Local Services Ads.
  • The sales video promises you can schedule a thirty minute call, but no page has a calendar.
  • The thank-you page makes people watch the same 12 minute video they just watched, and calls it required.
  • Client numbers change from place to place: Stephen's $200,000 is "30 days" in one ad and "three weeks" in the video; Justin is 45 estimates in the copy, 40 on the card and "up to 40" in his own words, 18 years in one place and 20 in another; Curtis has 5 kids on the homepage and six in the YouTube video; Jonathan is $70,000 in three weeks in the ad and "$100K+ in first 2 months" on the card.
  • Jonathan's company is called Infinity Landscaping, in ads that say they only work with tree services.
  • The homepage source still carries made-up template testimonials ("Elena Marchetti, Creative Director, Solara Studio", "James Okafor, Founder & CEO, Drift Labs") under "What Our Clients Are Saying About Us", and empty template pages (/services/, /services/web-dev/, /hello-world/) are live and in the sitemap.
  • The "not the right fit" page has the browser title "Your City Availability Call Is Booked!" and its Terms and Privacy links point to reviewcannon.com.
  • Small footprint: 109 Facebook followers and 1 review on the page; the YouTube video on the unqualified page had 38 views.
  • No emails seen, and the form does not ask about budget, crew or current marketing, so all qualifying happens on the phone with the founder.

What we could not see

  • Anything after a real submit: the text messages, the founder's phone call, how the thirty minute call is booked, any emails. We never submit.
  • A calendar. None exists on any page we could reach.
  • A waitlist form. The Apology page mentions a waitlist but shows no form.
  • Older or stopped ads. The library shows only the 6 active ones.
  • The founder's Instagram (thomaswilsonmarketing) and the full list of Facebook posts were not walked.
  • Which video plays on three of the nine thank-you cards (Dustin, Stephen, Nathan).
  • The client community, the Zoom calls and the mastermind: named on the homepage, nothing shown.
  • Ad spend, results and how many clients they have. The pages name 10 clients.
  • The contract itself.

Client stories to the "check my city" page

Three ads, each one client telling it on his own phone: first name, city, one number. Copy is written by Timberline in the third person, the video is the client. All three send to the check my city page. One of them prints the $997 fee.

Where it takes people

  1. ad destination, version B of a split test (the ad link /checkmycity redirects here or to version A): The ad link. It redirects to one of two versions of the same page (/opt-in or /checkmycityoptin): headline, 11:52 sales video, one button
  2. the form, as a popup: Six-question form in a popup, ends with current monthly revenue
  3. after the form, for owners at $20k a month or more: $20k a month or more: watch the video again, wait for Thomas' phone call, text "WATCHED". Price sheet, client phone list, first six months, questions
  4. after the form, for owners under $20k a month: Under $20k a month: "not the right fit just yet" and a 10 minute teaching video
  5. Thomas phones for three to five minutes to confirm market, revenue and fit, then a thirty minute "city availability call" (their words in the sales video). How that call is booked: not seen, there is no calendar on any page

Curtis started working with Timberline during the slowest part of the year in Spokane, Washington.

Before Timberline, winter usually brought him only three or four leads per month.

He would reach spring broke and have to start rebuilding his momentum.

Then the calls started coming in all winter.

For the first time, Curtis entered spring financially ahead.

Before working with us, his tree service was averaging roughly $40,000 per month for the year.

Today, he’s averaging closer to $80,000 per month.

His previous goal was to reach $10,000 per week during summer. Some weeks he made it, and some weeks he didn’t.

This summer he’s averaging $18,000–$20,000 per week.

That consistency has allowed Curtis to build a trained, full-time crew and he believes he can finally keep them employed through winter instead of starting over again next spring.

This video is Curtis sharing his experience after approximately ten months with Timberline.

We work exclusively with established tree service companies and partner with only one company per market.

Our agency fee is $997 per month, plus the ad spend paid directly to Meta.

Curtis, Spokane: $40K a month to $80K a month, and the price in the ad

The hook: Curtis started working with Timberline during the slowest part of the year in Spokane, Washington.

The angle: Winter used to break him, now he keeps a full-time crew. States the fee.

Proof used: They say: winter went from 3 or 4 leads a month to calls all winter; about $40,000 a month to closer to $80,000; summer weeks of $18,000 to $20,000 against an old goal of $10,000; about ten months as a client.

Why it works: The only ad that prints the price ("Our agency fee is $997 per month, plus the ad spend paid directly to Meta"). The headline is the number ("From $40K/mo to $80K/mo"). The video is the client himself on his phone, 50 seconds.

For 18 years, Justin averaged around 10 to 15 tree-service estimates per week.

Today, he’s averaging around 45.

Before Timberline, Justin had already spent tens of thousands of dollars trying different marketing companies without getting much in return.

Now Justin has made hundreds of thousands of dollars from partnering with Timberline.

Multiple times now, Justin called and asked me to dial the marketing down because his crew couldn’t handle everything coming in.

This is Justin Baker, owner of Cutz Trees in Ogden, Utah, sharing his honest experience with Timberline in his own words.

Proof used: They say: $70,000 in three weeks, $40,000 of it in one week (said by Jonathan in the 30 second video). His company is named Infinity Landscaping.

The most stressful part of running a tree service isn’t doing the work.

It’s not knowing whether next month’s calendar will be full.

Once estimates slow down, crews sit, trucks stop moving, and good tree companies start accepting jobs they never wanted.

Most owners try to fill those gaps by purchasing more leads.

But shared leads put you in competition with every other tree company that bought the same homeowner’s information.

Timberline helps established tree companies build predictable demand inside their own markets.

We run advertising from your company’s Facebook page, generate exclusive local opportunities, and keep your company in front of homeowners until your name becomes the one they recognize and trust.

That means more work coming in today while your reputation continues growing for tomorrow.

We partner with only one tree service company per market.

The pain ad: not knowing if next month is full, and shared leads

The hook: The most stressful part of running a tree service isn’t doing the work. It’s not knowing whether next month’s calendar will be full.

The angle: Buying leads is renting customers; one company per market

Proof used: Thomas on camera names three clients in every version: Stephen over $200,000 in his first three weeks and booked out nearly three months, Curtis $40,000 to $80,000 a month, Justin 10 to 15 estimates a week to around 45 (their claims).

What it asks for: Click below to see if your city is still available

Why it works: The founder on camera, 73 to 75 seconds. Ad see the ad is one ad with three versions: the same script with three different first lines ("What if you already knew where next month’s tree jobs were coming from?", "Imagine going into winter already booked out for the next six weeks.", "What if your calendar was booked out weeks in advance without ever having to buy a single lead?") and a second copy that rolls up the three client numbers under the headline "See If Your City Is Still Available". So they are testing the opening line and letting Meta pick.

In his first 30 days with Timberline, Stephen put more than $200,000 in tree work on the books.

His schedule filled into December.

He had so many estimates coming in that he started quoting jobs after dark with a flashlight—including one day with 15 estimates on his schedule.

Homeowners began recognizing him from the ads:

“Oh man, you’re the guy we see on Facebook.”

Then his chipper blew up on a Friday.

With so much work coming down the pipeline, Stephen couldn’t afford to wait around. The following week, he bought a brand-new chipper and kept moving.

In Stephen’s words:

“There aren’t any questions anymore about where my next job is coming from.”

Stephen owns Cookes Cuts Tree Service in Florence, South Carolina.

This is his honest 30-day update about working with Timberline Marketing.

We work exclusively with established tree service companies and partner with only one company per market.

0:00This is Justin Baker with Cuts Trees out of Ogden, Utah. With Timberline Marketing, I just started Timberline Marketing in January of this year. 0:20what I felt like was nothing out of the deal. I felt like it was lots of money going out, but not many leads coming in, if any. So when uh Thomas called me, I rarely answer the phone when it's a spam caller. or a a company calling. But I decided to answer, and I sat there and chatted with him for a while. He's like, just give me a chance. Let me show you what I can do. For the last 18 years, I've done about.

0:44Ten to twelve bids per week. Right off the bat, he sent me like eight in the first week. Within a couple of weeks, we had booked about$30,000 worth of work. To be honest with you, I had to call Thomas and say, dial it down because I couldn't handle the influx that was coming. I've gone from about ten to Twenty 10 to 15 bids uh a week to

1:1030, 35, and even all the way up to 40 bids a week. I am very pleased with Timberline Marketing, great price. Thomas seems to be a great guy, a God-fearing guy, and I appreciate that. I think that If I were a company doing tree service, and that's interesting because I've also Referred him to many companies, but he only does tree service. I've tried to get him to do it, and he just won't.

1:33Uh Because he's he's so dang good. But if I were a company that was looking for more leads, I would hire Thomas in a heartbeat. And I I'm not being paid to do this. I'm I'm just Uh leaving a review for him in a heartbeat. I would hire him. I do it all over again. And I don't have any plans to leave them here in the in the

1:54Future. Uh another thing that he's really good at is uh not giving another business the same stuff. So He's not going to do leads for a company that's down the street. He called me and asked me if. Company was in my working area, and I said, Yes, I work in that area. He said, Great, I won't do it. He's he seems to be very honest that way. Timberline marketing.

That was just all that would come in. Started using Timberline. Next thing I know, calls were going in. All winter long. I was actually steady all winter for the first time ever. I wasn't broke whenever springtime hit every summer.

0:19For the last few summers. My goal was$10,000 a week. Sometimes I made it, sometimes I didn't. And this summer, I haven't had a week that wasn't over ten thousand dollars for the week. Um I'm actually averaging closer to$18,000 to$20,000 every single week. Timberline has made my business so much further ahead. I actually have a crew full time that is trained, and I'm optimistic that this winter I'll actually be able to keep them on full time.

0:45not be starting over scratch next year. Have that I have Thomas to thank for that.

0:00Tree service owners. What if you already knew where next month's tree jobs were coming from? In the tree business, everything gets stressful the moment your estimates slow down. Your crew waits, your trucks sit, and revenue stalls. Most tree service companies, they try to solve this by buying more leads. But buying leads is just renting customers.

0:16Every dollar that you spend on leads builds somebody else's platform and not your own business. So, we do something completely different. We build your name inside of your community until homeowners already know you, trust you. And they want to work with you before they ever need the tree work done. We use this strategy exclusively for tree service companies across the country. Just like Stephen in South Carolina, he generated over$200,000 in his first three weeks with us and is now booked out for nearly three months. Curtis in Spokane doubled his business from around$40,000 a month to$80,000 a month. And Justin in Utah went from doing around$10,000.

0:4710 to 15 estimates a week to around 45. And none of them got there by outbidding competitors for shared leads. They got there because homeowners and their cities already knew who they were and knew exactly who to call. And that's what we built for you. But here's the thing. We only work with one tree service company per city because we can't make you the most trusted name in your city. I'm doing the same thing for somebody else down the street. Frequently Asked Questions
Does This Work During The Winter?
Yes. Several clients—including Justin in Utah and Curtis in Washington—started during winter and produced strong results. Every market is different, but homeowners still need hazardous trees removed, storm damage handled, and trees maintained year-round.
How quickly will my ads launch?
Once we receive account access and your first short video clips, we typically have your ads edited and launched within a few business days. Most clients only need about 10–15 minutes to record the initial content.
How many leads should I expect?
That depends on your market, competition, population, advertising budget, and the time of year. We don’t promise an arbitrary number of leads. We monitor the campaigns, identify what is producing results, and put more of your budget behind what works.
Why is the agreement six months?
We’re generating opportunities now while building recognition and trust that improves over time. Your lead-generation campaign finds the right homeowners, and your retargeting campaign turns that attention into familiarity. The longer both campaigns work together, the stronger that asset becomes.
What content will I need to provide?
Plan on approximately one hour per month. We provide the ideas, scripts, and recording instructions. Most of the content is simple footage recorded on your phone of you, your crew, your equipment, and the work you already perform.
What happens if I become completely booked?
That’s a good problem to have. We can adjust your advertising while you increase prices, expand capacity, or become more selective about the jobs you accept. Several clients have reached the point where they could confidently turn down low-margin work.
Do you work with another company near me?
No. We partner with only one tree service company per agreed-upon market. Once your market is claimed, we won’t provide the same service to another tree company competing in that territory.
What if I’ve tried Facebook advertising before?
There are thousands of ways to run Facebook ads, and most agencies use the same generic approach for every industry. We work exclusively with tree service companies and use a two-campaign strategy built specifically around how homeowners choose a tree service.

We Only Work With Tree Services
ABOUT
Timberline Marketing works exclusively with tree service companies across the United States. No restaurants. No retail. No real estate. Just tree services. One company per city. That's it.
Built exclusively for tree service companies — nothing else
One tree service per city — your competitor can't buy in
Brand building that makes you the obvious choice in your community
Transparent pricing — no setup fees, starting at just $997
SEE OUR PRICING
Tree Service Marketing Is Different. So Is Our Approach
Most marketing agencies treat tree service like any other home service business. It's not. The seasonality is brutal. The competition is fierce. And homeowners don't shop around — they call whoever they already trust.
We make your name the one they remember
A brand that makes homeowners call you first — not whoever shows up on Google
Marketing that works through winter — not just when it's busy
Content that builds trust before anyone even needs a tree removed
The confidence to raise your prices because people want to work with you specifically
The only marketing strategy built around making your name the most trusted one in your city
Real Tree Companies. Real Results.
CASE STUDIES
See what's possible when you stop buying leads.
Nathan, Boise ID
57 leads in February. In Idaho. In winter.
Nathan had tried 4 or 5 marketing companies before us. Every single one started strong and tapered off. Every single one overpromised and underdelivered. He was skeptical and honestly he had every right to be.
Over the past year Nathan went from dreading the slow season to generating 57 new leads in February alone. Historically his deadest month of the year.
This is the first marketing that's really stuck. I can't say enough good things. If you're even hesitant, just give him a shot.
Nathan, Boise ID
Curtis, Spokane WA
$5,000 a month in winter became $20,000 a month. And he took a two week vacation with his 5 kids.
Curtis had been running his tree service for 6 years. Every winter was the same story. Work dried up, leads stopped coming in, and he white knuckled it through until spring. He had tried other marketing companies. They did fine in summer. Come winter, nothing. Just like everyone else.
His first winter working with us he generated 30 to 45 leads every single month consistently through the slow season. Revenue went from $5,000 or $6,000 a month to right around $20,000 a month. He was booked out a week and a half and spring had barely started. Oh, and he took a two week road trip vacation with his 5 kids. First time in 6 years he could actually afford to.
This is the first winter in six years that I didn't struggle. I have Timberline to thank for it. I definitely recommend giving them a go.
Curtis, Spokane WA
Justin, Ogden UT
35 leads. $36,000 in revenue. 30 days.
Justin has been running a tree service for 20 years. In that time he estimates roughly 5 billion marketing companies have called him trying to sell him something. He had heard every pitch in the book.
When we called he almost didn't answer.
He gave us a shot. In the first 30 days we sent him 35 leads. Those 35 leads turned into $36,000 in revenue. In 30 days. After 20 years in the business he called it the best marketing value he had ever seen. It was not even close.
Best value for what I've paid for anywhere else, to be honest with you. Timberline, crushing it over here in Utah.
Justin, Ogden UT

CHECK AVAILABILITY
There's good news and bad news.
We want to be straight with you. So let's start with the bad news.
THE BAD NEWS
We only work with one tree service per city.
If there's already a tree service in your area working with us, you can't sign up. Someone else already claimed your market — and we won't take a second company in the same city. Ever.
THE GOOD NEWS
We only work with one tree service per city.
That's not a typo. It's two sides of the same coin — and it's exactly what makes the Timberline Strategy work so well for the companies who do get in.
Two sides of the same coin.
You're not competing with another company running the same ads in your backyard. You're the only tree service in your city with a brand being built inside your community. That exclusivity is the whole point — and we take it seriously.
What happens when you're the only one.
Tree service owners who have 4X'd their revenue — not because of a great month, but because homeowners in their city already wanted to work with them specifically.
Guys who went from white-knuckling it through winter to taking real vacations with their families.
Owners who stopped competing on price because the trust was already built before anyone picked up the phone.
That happens because they're the only one in their market doing this.
If your city is already taken…
We're sorry. We genuinely mean that. Get on the waitlist and we'll reach out the moment it opens up. Markets do occasionally become available — and the list is first in, first served.
If your city is still available…
It might just change your business — and your life. There's only one way to find out. Check availability below before someone else in your city does.

Creative production (copy, video scripting/editing, landing pages)
Conversion tracking and reporting
Lead capture & optional nurture automations (email/SMS)
Market Exclusivity where applicable
We may modify or improve Services at any time.
Programs & Ad Spend
Ad spend is paid directly to the advertising platforms (e.g., Google, Meta) or billed separately; it is not included in our agency fee unless expressly stated.
Fees, Billing & Late Payment
Agency fees are billed monthly in advance.
Invoices are due upon receipt. We may pause campaigns for non-payment.
Platform charges (Google/Meta, call tracking, SMS fees, etc.) are your responsibility.
We do not prorate or refund partial months once the billing cycle has begun (see §9 for the 30-day guarantee).
Term & Cancellation (No Long-Term Contracts)
Services are month-to-month unless stated otherwise. Either party may cancel for any reason with written notice prior to the next billing date. Cancellation ends future billing; it does not retroactively refund the current month.

Client Responsibilities
You agree to:

Maintain valid payment methods for platform spend and tools

Comply with all applicable laws, including licensing and advertising rules in your locality
Delays in approvals or access may delay performance timelines and do not constitute agency breach.
Ownership & License
Leads & first-party data: You own all leads generated for your business.
Accounts: When feasible, campaigns are built in your ad accounts; otherwise we may use ours.
Creatives, copy, videos, landing pages: Unless agreed otherwise in writing, materials we create remain our intellectual property; we grant you a non-exclusive license to use them during your active engagement. If you need perpetual rights, we can assign them in a separate written agreement.
30-Day Lead Guarantee & Refunds
If campaigns are live and we fail to deliver any new leads within the first 30 days, we will refund the agency fee for that first month upon request.
This guarantee requires:
Ad spend funded at the agreed minimum
Timely approvals and access
No policy violations or account bans outside our control
The guarantee covers agency fees only, not third-party costs (ad spend, software, SMS, call tracking, etc.).

Sales, booking and answer videos

The videos, what each one does

Captured 2026-10-13. Three sales videos by the founder, seven ad videos, three extra client clips. Sales videos use Wistia's or YouTube's own captions; ad videos and two client clips went through Parakeet. Every number is their claim.

1. The sales video, 11:52 (vsl-september.md)

On the ad landing page and again on the thank-you page, where it is called "required before our call".

  • Hook: "You run an established tree service company and you want a more predictable way to keep your calendar full, keep your crew busy, and stop fighting over the same jobs as everybody else".
  • Proof up front, in the first 35 seconds: Stephen $200,000 in three weeks, Curtis $40,000 to $80,000 a month, Justin 10 to 15 estimates a week to about 45.
  • Who is talking: "My name is Thomas Wilson. I'm the founder of Timberline Marketing. Tree service companies are all that we work with."
  • The promise for the video: how it works, the first ninety days, what it costs, who fits.
  • The enemy: Google ("they're just gonna find four other companies right beside you") and lead platforms ("the same information may be sold to several different tree companies", "You pay to build their business").
  • A test to score your own marketing: "the known, chosen, and booked system".
  • The method: two campaigns from the client's own Facebook page. Campaign one is lead ads that also find who pays attention. Campaign two, from about day 45 to 60, shows those people "ads that don't look anything like ads": pizzas to the fire department, the owner's story.
  • Why them: only tree services, and what one client learns is passed to the rest (the "drop and leave" offer from Justin).
  • Results again, with two more names (Jonathan $70,000 in three weeks, Thomas Williams $1,500 to $10,000 a week). "Those results are examples rather than guarantees".
  • What happens after you sign: onboarding call in 24 to 48 hours, four or five ten-second clips, ads back from the editor in 24 to 48 hours.
  • What they need from you: be on camera, about an hour a month, answer your leads.
  • Who it is for and the price: $20,000 a month in revenue, one company per market, $997 a month, about $40 a day in ad spend paid to Meta, "a one time $1,000 implementation fee", six month agreement and why.
  • The ask: fill in the short application; if you fit you can schedule a thirty minute "city availability call", and Thomas will phone you first for three to five minutes.

2. The website video, 2:57 (strategy-timberline-in-4.md)

An older, shorter version from April 2026. "We are not focused on getting you a bunch clicks or a bunch of leads. Every other company out there is laser focused on leads." Lead platforms are "more of a bidding war". Same two steps, proof in one breath (clients who "four x the revenue", "thirty six thousand dollars in revenue in just thirty days"), one company per city, fill out the form. No price in it.

3. The video for owners who are too small, 10:35 (unq-why-marketing-is-broken.md)

A YouTube video from May 2026 shown on the "not the right fit yet" page. It is the teaching version: the maths of buying leads (Angi lead $50 to $80, shared with two to four others, real cost per customer $200 to $300, Google clicks up 20% in two years), "They're an Angie customer, not your customer", then "upstream lead generation" plus "brand building content", then three client stories (Curtis, Nathan, Justin) and the same ask.

4. The ad videos (ad-videos.md)

  • Four client videos, filmed by the client on his phone, captions added: Stephen 1:55, Justin 2:23, Curtis 0:50, Jonathan 0:30. Each says his name, company and town, what it was like before, one or two numbers, and "give Thomas a call" or a recommendation.
  • One founder script in three versions that differ only in the first line, about 75 seconds each: pain, "buying leads is just renting customers", three client numbers, one company per city, "click learn more".

5. Client clips on the thank-you page (client-videos.md)

Joe Proctor (22 appointments, 14 jobs closed in about three weeks), Thomas Williams ($1,500 a week to about $10,000 a week), and a couple interviewed by Thomas ("39. We made 30,000 last month... about 26,000 for this month so far").

What repeats in every video

  1. Name, town, one number.
  2. Lead platforms and Google put you in a bidding war; you are renting customers.
  3. Be known before they need you.
  4. One tree company per city, and some cities are gone.

Founder to camera: three client numbers, why Google and lead platforms hurt, the "known, chosen, and booked" two-campaign system, what happens after you sign, the price ($997 a month, about $40 a day in ads, a one time $1,000 implementation fee, six months), then the ask.

The words, with times

0:00You run an established tree service company and you want a more predictable way to keep your calendar full, keep your crew busy, and stop fighting over the same jobs as everybody else, then this video is for you. So over the next few minutes, I'm gonna show you the exact two campaign system that we use to generate exclusive opportunities while building a

0:14tree company that homeowners in your market already know and trust. This is the same strategy that helped Steven in South Carolina book over $200,000 worth of work in his first three weeks with us. He's now booked out for the next eleven weeks. It helped Curtis and Spokane grow from around 40,000 a month to doing 80,000 a month now.

0:31And it also helped Justin and Utah go from roughly around 10 to 15 estimates a week to now averaging around 45. Every market's a little different, but those results can show you what can happen to a tree service that finally has a marketing system built specifically for its own industry. My name is Thomas Wilson. I'm the founder of Timberline Marketing.

0:46Tree service companies are all that we work with. So if you don't own a tree service, you're in the wrong spot. By the end of this video, you'll know exactly how our system works and what the first ninety days looks like, what it costs, and whether your company is a good fit for it or not. So let's start with the business that we're actually trying to build.

1:00You don't want leads for the sake of having more names that you can throw inside of a spreadsheet. You want enough profitable work coming in that you know where next month's jobs are actually coming from. You can price jobs confidently and keep your best employees working all year round. I know you want the freedom to turn down bad jobs and bad

1:16margins because you know another opportunity is coming right through the door. One of our clients explained it perfectly in one of our last podcasts. He said, we're getting enough work that we don't need all the jobs. That allowed him to give the homeowners the price his company needed to make and let the wrong customers just walk

1:30away, and that's the real goal. Now to understand how we help create that kind of business, we first have to take a look at what most tree services are doing wrong when it comes to marketing. Because people cannot hire a tree service that they don't even know exists. But most tree service marketing waits until a homeowner has

1:45already decided that they need the tree work done. At that point, the homeowner is just gonna go to Google, type in something like tree services near me because they don't know who to use. They don't know who to give a call. And if they can find you on Google, well, they're just gonna find four other companies right beside you.

1:58Now they're collecting estimates and comparing companies. You may still win the job, but you've lost the advantage because you're now one of several different options. And the thing is, lead platforms make this problem even worse. A homeowner fills out some form, the same information may be sold to several different tree

2:14companies, and everybody starts calling the same exact person. And price now becomes the easiest thing for that homeowner to compare you on. And the second that you stop paying that lead platform, well, your opportunities disappear. You pay to build their business without making your company more valuable or recognizable.

2:30And that gives us a simple way to judge your current marketing. Every dollar that you spend should create an opportunity for today or make your company more likely to be chosen tomorrow, but the strongest marketing can do both. And that brings me to the three outcomes that we build our entire strategy around. We call it the known, chosen, and booked system.

2:48As I explain these three parts, honestly score your current marketing. First, are local homeowners seeing your company before they need tree work, or do they discover you after they start collecting estimates? That is getting known. Second, can a homeowner explain why they should hire your company besides your price? That is getting chosen.

3:05And third, does your marketing consistently create enough profitable opportunities to keep the crew moving, or does the phone only ring while you buy leads? That is staying booked out. If one of those areas is weak, the entire system becomes less predictable. So here is how we solve that problem. We run two different kinds of campaigns that work together.

3:22The first campaign creates immediate opportunities and finds the right homeowners in your market. The second campaign builds familiarity and trust with those people over time. So let me show you exactly what that means starting with the first campaign. The first campaign uses paid Facebook and Instagram ads from your company's page to generate exclusive inquiries, estimates, and revenue.

3:39The opportunities go directly to you and are never sold to another tree company down the street. But the campaign does something else that is just as important as getting leads. It helps us identify the local homeowners who are paying attention to tree service related content. So imagine that we put a video in front of your community

3:54showing you on a job site talking about tree problems that you can help solve. Some people are gonna watch that video. They're gonna open the post, click the ad, or request an estimate, whatever. That behavior helps us identify the people that are most interested in the services that you provide. A small percentage may request an estimate today and we send

4:09those opportunities straight to you. But most people are not quite ready the first time that they see you. And that's where honestly most marketing companies, they just forget about it. But for us, I would say that's where our second campaign gets to work. Once the first campaign has created a large enough local audience,

4:24our trust building campaign begins showing those people a completely different kind of advertising. We have a principle at Timberline that says that the best ads don't look anything like ads. So we don't spend every day shouting about removals and trimming and discounts or tree estimates. Right? We tell stories about real people behind the company and

4:40teach homeowners what good tree work actually looks like. So here's a real example. We asked one of our clients to bring a few pizzas to a local fire department, thank the firefighters, just take a picture while they were there. Our ad about that moment produced hundreds of reactions and comments, and the company received phone calls from it for weeks.

4:56But it worked because the right homeowners had already seen the company's tree service advertising for weeks at that The community story gave those homeowners another reason to remember and trust the people behind the company. And that familiarity eventually starts showing up in the real world too. One of our clients was standing in line at a coffee shop when

5:11someone recognized them from the ads that we've been running. And before he'd even ordered his coffee, he put another estimate. There's no lead company making the introduction. The homeowner already knew who he was, and that is what getting known looks like. The first campaign creates opportunities and continually introduces new homeowners to the company inside of our funnel.

5:28The second turns repeated attention into familiarity, trust, and better quality conversations. And together, they help you become known, chosen, and booked. Now the campaigns are only one part of why this works. The next part is the fact that we already understand the business that we're advertising. Tree services are all that we work with.

5:46We do not spend your first several months trying to learn your industry while you pay the tuition. We understand the pressure of keeping a crew busy, seasonal slowdowns, bidding wars, and the difference between a full calendar and a profitable one. We also learn directly from tree company owners across the country every single day.

6:02One of the best examples came from Justin in Utah. A homeowner asked him to remove several trees, but he couldn't afford the removal plus the cleanup. So Justin offered to safely drop the trees and let the homeowner handle the rest. The homeowner saved thousands while Justin earned around $1,200 for roughly forty five minutes on the property,

6:18and then he moved on to his next job. So he called me afterward. He said, hey. I need more jobs that are just like this. So we brainstormed together and developed what we now call the drop and leave. That offer, I know, will not fit for every single company or every single market. We understood why the job was so profitable,

6:33how to position it, and which other three companies might benefit from that lesson. So my point is a win that we discover with one client can become a recommendation that helps other Timberline clients around the entire country while every company still receives its own protected market. And that brings us to the results this system has produced.

6:49Steven in South Carolina booked more than $200,000 worth of work during his first three weeks and became booked out for almost three months. Curtis in Spokane used to receive only three or four leads per month during the winter, but after starting with Timberline, calls continued throughout the entire winter, and he grew from around 40,000 a month to about $80,000 a

7:07month now while building a trained full time crew. And after spending tens of thousands of dollars with other marketers, Justin went from 10 to 15 estimates per week to roughly about 45, and he's asked me multiple times to dial down the marketing because his crew simply just couldn't handle all the business that was coming in.

7:23Jonathan in Missouri, he reported more than $70,000 of revenue during his first three weeks, including a $40,000 a week alone. And Thomas Williams at Mississippi told us he grew his company from averaging around 1,500 a week to now $10,000 per week. And those results are examples rather than guarantees, but they do demonstrate what this system can create for

7:40capable tree service operators. And at this point, you might be wondering what actually happens after you sign up with us. So we normally schedule your onboarding call with me about twenty four to forty eight hours after joining. And during that call, we're gonna connect, we're gonna create your Facebook assets, plan the first ads,

7:56and I'm gonna show you exactly what to record. Your initial content is usually four to five clips. Each of those clips are around ten seconds or less, and most owners record something with their phone in about fifteen minutes. Once we receive that content, our editor normally returns the finished ads within about twenty four to forty eight hours,

8:11and then we're gonna launch as soon as those edited ads are ready. Many clients begin receiving opportunities within the first couple of days after we launch, and some have seen leads within the first hours. Your market, budget, competition, and the season affect timing, so I'll never promise an exact number of leads by an exact date.

8:27But during the first thirty to forty five days, we focus on generating opportunities, collecting the data, and then building your local audience. Once the audience is large enough, usually around forty five to sixty days in depending on your advertising spend, we launch the trust building campaign. We build that audience first so we can surround the right

8:43homeowners with your stories, your expertise, your values, your community content without oversaturating a tiny group. For months two through six, we monitor both campaigns, replace tired creative, and double down on what's working best. And that's also why many clients notice the quality of their opportunities really improve over time with us.

9:00People have more chance to see your ads, get to know you, understand them, and trust them before reaching out. Because at that point, people have had more time to see you, to understand what you do, and trust you before they reach out. Now that you know what we do and how the timeline works, we need to talk about what we require from you.

9:16So we build brands around real owners and real companies. So we need you or another recognizable person inside the company to appear on camera. You don't need to become some kind of influencer or buy professional equipment or invent anything to say. We write the scripts. We're gonna use specific instructions for the videos and

9:32the pictures that we need from you. Most clients spend around an hour a month creating content for us. Sending content quickly gives us way more opportunities to test, learn, and improve. If it takes six weeks to receive an eight second clip from you, the system cannot move at the speed either of us wants. So if you're completely unwilling to appear on camera

9:50or send content consistently, Timberline is not gonna be a great fit for you. You also need to answer the opportunities, provide estimates, and close the work, or in other words, call the leads. With that said, let's talk about who we're built to help and what the investment looks like. Timberline is built for established tree service companies.

10:04You should already be generating at least around 20,000 per month in revenue and have a capable crew and have room for more profitable work. If you're just starting out or still trying to assemble a reliable crew, we're probably not the right fit for you yet. We also only work with one tree service per market, and we're not gonna give anything that we're doing

10:21together to your competitor down the street. Once we commit to a tree company in a market, the market's taken. So our management fee is $9.97 per month. Most clients also start with around $40 per day in advertising spend, and that is paid directly to Meta. More competitive markets may require a larger budget, which we will discuss before we ever launch.

10:39There's also a one time $1,000 implementation fee covering the initial strategy, tracking, campaign construction, as well as creative work. We work on a six month agreement because the lead generation campaign can create opportunities quickly while the trust campaign needs an audience before it can really do its job. Six months gives homeowners more opportunities to recognize

10:57your company, understand what makes it different, and decide that they wanna work with you. If you've heard enough and you wanna find out whether your city is available, the next step is to complete the short application below. We'll ask about your company, the revenue, crew, capacity, and market. If your company appears to be a fit and if your city is still available,

11:12you'll be able to schedule a thirty minute city availability call with us. And during that call, we will look at how you currently generate work, identify the biggest gap in your marketing, and answer your questions, and determine whether or not we think we'd work well together. If I believe we cannot help, I'm just gonna tell you directly.

11:26And after you schedule, keep your phone nearby. I'm gonna personally call you as soon as I can for a quick three to five minute conversation to confirm your market and make sure the scheduled call will be useful for us. But some cities are already taken, and we will never place a second Timberline client inside of a protected market.

11:41So if you're running an established tree service, you have room for more work, ready to build a company homeowners already know before they need you, then click the button below. Complete the application and find out whether your city is still available.

The words, with times

0:00Hey. I'm Thomas with Timberline Marketing. Before you check out if your city's available, I just wanna take a few minutes and show you exactly what we do and how it works. That way, you can decide if this even makes sense for you and your business before we ever even get on a call. So here's the honest truth about what we do.

0:12We focus on Facebook ads. Not because Facebook is the coolest or trendiest platform out there, but it's still by far where homeowners are spending their time. And more importantly, it's where we can reach them before they ever start searching for tree work. Now, here's where we're completely different from every other marketing company you probably ever talked to.

0:27We are not focused on getting you a bunch clicks or a bunch of leads. Every other company out there is laser focused on leads. And look, we're gonna get you some leads, but leads are honestly just the beginning of what we do. But they're not the entire point because here's the thing about leads. If someone called you from a lead platform,

0:44they probably also reached out to three of your competitors. You're immediately competing on price before you even shaking their hand, and that's not really marketing. That's more of a bidding war. Real marketing does something completely different. Real marketing makes homeowners in your city already know your name, already trust you,

0:59and already wanna work with just you before they ever need tree work done. So when their tree comes down in a storm, they're not googling tree service near me and calling whoever shows up first. They're just calling you because they already know you and that's what we built. Here's how it actually all works. First, we run lead gen ads designed to identify homeowners in your

1:16area who are likely to need tree work before they're actually searching. They're gonna click, they opt in, and now we know who to market to. But here's where the magic happens. Everyone who engages with your ads gets added to a warm audience that we build for you over time. And then we hit that warm audience with retargeting ads

1:31that build your brand inside of your community. These are ads that don't look like ads. For example, we write ads about your family, your faith, your community, your story, and things that you like. We write the ads that answer questions that homeowners are actually having, like how much the tree removal actually cost, and what should I look for when hiring a tree company.

1:48We write ads that show your community that you're not just a business in their city, you're a real person in their city. And when people feel like they actually know you, they start to trust you and want to work with you specifically, not whoever shows up first on Google. We've had clients four x the revenue doing just this.

2:03We've had guys in the middle of winter set company records. We've had tree service owners generate thirty six thousand dollars in revenue in just thirty days, and none of them got there because we got a bunch of cheap leads. They got there because their name became the one that homeowners in their city already trusted. And now here's the important part.

2:18We only work with one tree service company per city because we can't make you the most trusted name in your city for doing the exact same thing for your competitor across the street. And to make sure that everything we create actually sounds like you, we get to know you, your story, your family, and your community. We find out what makes you different from every other guy

2:35with a chainsaw that's in your city, and that's what makes the content work. You don't have to be a marketing expert. You don't have to be good on camera. You just have to be yourself, and we can handle everything else for you. So if you wanna find out if your city is still available, fill out the form below and we'll be in touch and schedule

2:51a call with you. Some cities are already taken, but if yours is still open, it might just change your business forever.

The words, with times

0:00Most tree service companies marketing is completely broken and I'm going to prove it to you. And by the end of this video, you're going to understand three different things. Number one, how most tree service companies are currently getting customers is mathematically guaranteed to compress your margins more and more every single year. And it actually gets worse, not better, the longer that you do it. Number two, how I discovered a completely different approach to tree service marketing that actually gets you better quality customers, it costs less money, and actually build something in your market that nobody can take from you.

0:30And number three, how three of my tree service companies use this exact same approach to completely transform their businesses. One of them actually 4x the revenue. Another generated $36,000 in revenue in just 30 days. And another had 57 leads come in in the slowest month of the year. Now, before I get into all of that, I want to point something out. You're watching this video right now because you clicked on one of my social media ads. Think about that for a second. You didn't find me on Google, you didn't find me on Angie, you found me because I showed up in your feed on

1:01social media and something that I said made you curious enough to click. That's not an accident. That's exactly the strategy that I'm going to show you now. And by the end of this video, you're going to see exactly how we use that same approach to make your tree service the one homeowners in your city already know and trust before they ever even need tree work done. So, let's get into it. Here's the problem with the way that most tree service companies are currently getting customers. Let's just do some simple math together. The average cost per lead on Angie right now is somewhere around like 50 to 80 bucks depending on what markets you're in. And

1:31every single one of those leads, every single one, also went to at least two or three or sometimes even four other competitors at the exact same time. So, you're not buying a customer, you're buying a chance to compete for a customer against guys in your own city who are all trying to win the same job. And you know what happens when four tree companies are competing for the same exact job? Whoever quotes the cheapest is going to win. So, your average value per job actually comes down. Now, here's where it gets really uncomfortable. Google and Angie raise their prices every single year. In fact,

2:02Google's cost per click for home service businesses has gone up over 20% in the last 2 years alone. But, here's the problem. You can't turn around and raise your prices on customers to compensate because the second that you quote higher than the guy next to you, you're just going to lose the job. So, what happens to your business over time? Your lead cost is going to go up every single year and your job prices are going to stay flat or go down because of the competition and your margins are going to get squeezed tighter and tighter every single year. This is a structural problem built into the entire model and it gets worse, not better, the

2:32longer that you play this game. So, here's the math that really hits home. If you're spending, let's say, 1,500 bucks a month on leads and you're converting 30% of them into actual jobs, you're paying somewhere between 50 and 75 dollars per lead just to get into a bidding war. Factor in the jobs that you lose on price, which is probably half your estimates, and your actual cost to acquire a paying customer is somewhere around like 200 or 300 dollars. Now, ask yourself, how many of those customers are going to call you again specifically next time that they need more tree work done? Or are they just going to go back to Angie or Google and get four more estimates because they found you through

3:03Angie? They're an Angie customer, not your customer. You don't really own that relationship. Angie does or Google does and that's exactly how they want it because the moment that you own your own customers, you don't need them anymore and they can't let that happen. So, I started working exclusively with tree service companies on their marketing and I kept seeing the same exact pattern over and over again. Really good operators, solid crews, and guys who genuinely cared about their work and their customers, but they were completely trapped in a system that was

3:33slowly squeezing the profit out of their business. And I kept asking myself the same question, what if there was a way to get in front of homeowners before they ever even opened up Google, before they filled out a form on Angie, before they were even actively looking for the tree work? Because here's what I knew from studying how people actually make buying decisions. By the time someone is actively searching for a tree service on Google, they're already in comparison mode. They're already getting multiple estimates, and they're already thinking about price. The battle is already uphill before you even answer the phone. But, what if you could reach them

4:03earlier? What if you could get into their world months before they actually ever needed you? So that by the time their tree comes down in a storm, or they finally decide to deal with that dead oak in the backyard, your name is already the one they think of first. That's the question I started obsessing over. The answer wasn't a new lead platform. It wasn't a better Google Ads strategy. And it wasn't a fancier website. It was something that most marketing companies aren't doing at all for tree service companies. And the vehicle for doing it is social media. Because here's the thing. Again, you're watching this video right now because

4:33you clicked on one of my social media ads. You didn't find me on Google. You found me because I showed up in your feed and said something curious. The reason your Facebook ads didn't work before isn't because Facebook doesn't work. It's because most people are using it the same way they use Google and Angie, trying to catch people at the moment that they need tree work. And that's not what social media is actually for. Social media is not a search engine. It's a relationship engine. And when you use it that way, everything changes. So, let me show exactly how this works. There are really just two different things that we do, and they work together like a nice one-two punch.

5:05The first thing is what I call upstream lead generation. We run ads on Facebook and Instagram that are designed to identify homeowners in your area who are likely to need tree work. Maybe they click on an ad about how much tree removal will actually cost. Maybe they engage with something about storm damage and what to look for in their yard. Maybe they just stopped scrolling because something caught their attention. It doesn't matter exactly what they stopped on. What matters is that they did. Because the moment that someone engages with one of your ads, they get added to a warm audience. And that is where the second thing happens.

5:35Now, here's where most marketing companies completely miss it. They stop at the lead. They get someone to fill out a form, and they call it a day. But, that's when we are just getting started. Because everyone who engaged with your ads, everyone who raised their hand in any way, now starts seeing a completely different type of content. And we call it brand building content. And this is where everything changes. These are posts and ads that run directly from your actual Facebook page. And they look nothing like ads. They're about you as a person, maybe about your family, your

6:05story, why you got started in this business. Maybe it's you bringing donuts to the local fire station. Maybe it's just an honest breakdown of what tree removal actually costs and why. Just real content that makes homeowners in your city feel like they actually know who you are. Not just another tree company with a truck and a chainsaw. A real person who lives in their community and genuinely cares about doing good work. So, here's what happens over time. Homeowners in your city start recognizing your name. They start seeing your face and they start feeling like they know who you are. And then one day, their tree comes down in a storm or they

6:35finally decide to deal with that maple in the front yard or their neighbor mentions they need some tree work done. Instead of opening Google and typing tree service near me, they're going to think of you because they already feel like they know who you are. They already do trust you and they already want to work with you before you've ever even spoken a single word. Think about it. Who would you rather work with? Someone you have no idea who they are or someone that you already trust? So, when they call, they're not price shopping. They're not getting four different estimates. They just want to work with you. And that changes everything about how you compete because

7:05you stop competing. You just become the obvious choice in your city. And that is real marketing. Now, I want to show you what this actually looks like in real life because everything I just said sounds great in theory, but you're a tree service owner. You deal in reality. So, let me show you three real companies that use this exact approach and what happened to their businesses. Curtis had been running his tree service for 6 years when he finally found us. Every single winter was the same exact story. Work dried up, leads stopped coming in and revenue fell off of a cliff. Most winters, he was lucky to bring in five

7:36to six thousand dollars a month. He tried other marketing companies before and they did fine in the summer, but come winter, nothing happened. And just like everyone else, he was grinding it out through every slow season just trying to survive and hang on until the spring. Does that sound familiar? We started building his brand inside the Spokane community using exactly what I just described. And last winter alone, his first full winter working with us, he generated 30 to 45 leads every single month consistently through the slowest months of the year, and he 4x his revenue alone. But here's the

8:07part that actually got me. Curtis took a two-week road trip vacation with his six kids this past winter. It's the first time in six years he could actually afford to. Six years of grinding through slow seasons and this winter he loaded up a truck, took his family, and hit the road. That's not just a marketing result, that's a life result. But it does show you that marketing can solve a lot of problems for you. This is Nathan, and he had tried four or five other marketing companies before he found us. Every single one started strong, and every single one started to taper off. They over-promised and under-delivered.

8:38So at that point, he was completely done working with agencies. He almost didn't give us a shot, but then he did. And last February, in the middle of an Idaho winter, he had 57 new leads come in in one month, in winter, in Idaho. And for context, if you have no idea, it's freaking cold in February in Idaho. That's when most tree service owners are just hoping that the phone rings at all. 57 leads. He's been with us for over a year now. He told me recently that for the first time in his career he finally feels like he's getting the marketing value that he deserves. Justin has been

9:08in the tree business for over 20 years. He's seen every marketing trend come and go. He's heard every pitch in the book. And when I called him, he almost didn't answer, actually. But he gave us a shot anyway. And in his first 30 days working with us, he generated 35 leads, and those 35 leads turned into $36,000 in revenue. And after 20 years in the business, he called it the best marketing value he's ever seen. Not because we got him a bunch of cheap leads, because we started building his name inside his community until homeowners there already wanted to work with him specifically. Three different companies, different markets, completely different situations, but the same end

9:40result because the strategy works. Because people buy from people they already know and trust, and we just figured out how to make that happen at scale for tree service companies. And that's exactly how Curtis, Nathan, and Justin transformed their businesses. Everything I showed you today is real and you can absolutely take it and run with it yourself. But if after watching this video you're curious about what this would look like specifically in your market or in your city with your tree service, I'd love to have that conversation with you. Just click the button below and check and see if your city is still available because we only work with one tree service per market.

10:10If your city is available, we can get on a quick call and I'll walk you through exactly how we build your brand in your area. No pressure, there's no pitch, just a real conversation to see if we might be a good fit to help you take your tree service to the next level. And if your city is already taken, I'll let you know and we can put you on the waitlist. Either way, you have everything you need to understand why this new method that I discovered works and how to think about your marketing differently going forward. I hope this was helpful and I'll talk to you guys soon.

Client videos on the thank-you page

Joe Proctor, Thomas Williams and a couple interviewed by Thomas. Three more cards reuse the ad videos.

The thank-you page (go.timberlinemktg.com/checkmycitythankyou) shows nine client cards under "Real Tree Services. Real Results." The page data names six video files and one Wistia clip. Three of the six are the same videos used as ads (lengths match): "Ogden Testimonial" is the Justin ad, "Liberty Testimonial" is the Jonathan ad, "Spokane Testimonial 3" is the Curtis ad; see ad-videos.md. The other three are below. Which card each of the remaining cards plays (Dustin, Stephen, Nathan) was not seen. The ad landing page shows six of the same cards as pictures.

0:00Joe Proctor, owner of Wood to Go Tree Service. We recently hooked up with Thomas Wilson with Timberline Marketing. Start to date, we have about three weeks' worth of marketing with him. The words, with times

Sources and limits

How this was put together

  • Ads: the Meta Ad Library, Oct 13, 2026. Pages searched: Timberline Marketing (6 ads).
  • Pages: opened in a browser with every save request and every tracker blocked, so no visit, lead or booking was recorded on their side.
  • Forms: read from each form's public setup. Nothing typed in, nothing sent, no call booked.
  • Videos: written out on this computer, or from YouTube's own captions. Small wording slips are possible.
  • Emails: what reached our research inbox. Text messages cannot be seen.
  • Awareness levels and "why it works": our read, not a fact from Facebook.
  • Every result and number about a client is their claim. None was checked.
